LSAT Review Books Choose One of The Best Unfortunately, there are many poorly written review books but there are handful that students have found very helpful. The best are: Nova's text, The Official LSAT SuperPrep, Kaplan, Powerscore's (Killoran), and Advantage with Professor Dave. There have been many conflicting reports on Princeton Review and REA. The 2 best complete programs - including overall performance in subtopics such as Reading Comprehension, Logical and Analytical Reasoning - are Powerscore and Examkrackers (yes, they basically have a Ritz cracker as a mascot but if you can ignore that, the quality of teaching is very good). Depending on your personality, you may find some interactive software to be helpful. One option would be the Kaplan LSAT: Premier Program which comes with a CD.

LSAT Tests Practice with Official Tests By far, the best source for practice exams is 3 books from the Law School Admission Council: 10 Actual, Official LSAT Preptests, 10 More Actual, Official Preptests and The Next 10 Actual, Official Preptests. The latter being the most recent publication. If you are having trouble with the questions, many students have found LSAT Answers by Get Prepped very useful. The review materials above contain practice simulated tests which, along with the Law School Admission Council tests, will be an essential part of your test prep.  It is very important to take all official practice exams, check your test scores then review your mistakes before trying another practice exam. If you stick with this plan then your test scores will, overall and over time, improve gradually.

Time and Motivation

How much time do you need? Pretty easy. For high scores on the law school admissions exam, first get your review books, materials and tests together and start working. Reassess after one week. Because there is only a limited amount of review products and tests (good ones at least), you'll know after one week how much more time you'll need to complete your review. On average: 3 to 6 months.
